CAAB ScpA Privacy Policy

This privacy policy document describes the web site use, with reference to the processing of its users’ personal information.
CAAB collects and processes all web users’ personal information, in full compliance with the Italian Privacy provisions, according to Law no. 196/2003 – Code of protection of personal information.
This document refers only to the CAAB web site and does not apply to other links or connected sites.
Further to the visit to this web site, personal information concerning identified or identifiable users may be processed.
The “Owner” of information processing is CAAB ScpA, Via Paolo Canali, 1 – 40127 Bologna.
The data related to this site services will be collected, stored and processed only by the Owner’s employees and selected personnel at the Owner’s headquarters, located at the above address.
They will not be disclosed to third parties, unless if/when expressly provided by law, in full compliance with it.
Any personal data that users may provide to CAAB for the purpose of receiving newsletters, asking information, or subscribing to web site services (such as price-list subscriptions), will only be used to render the service and will not be disclosed to third parties, unless this proves necessary to obtain the service itself.
The processing of personal data will also be requested when accounting procedures are involved, such as invoicing and subscriptions. In this case, no user’s consent may be requested (art. 24 of Law no. 196 – 30/06/2003); this also applies to data passed on to Public Authorities (such as Customs), couriers, post offices, banks, professionals, agents and distributors, insurance companies and related companies.
All these parties should be regarded as independent owners of their respective data processing.
Further to the specific regulations in force, the data collected may be processed both on paper and by computer and may be used by specially selected owner’s employees.
Specific precautions will be taken to prevent the loss and misuse of any personal information or unauthorised access to the same.
However, CAAB cannot be deemed responsible for unauthorised accesses, or for the loss of personal data which go beyond its control.
Data processing and software procedures of this web site normally acquire personal information which is implicitly used in communications over the Internet (IP addresses, domain names, parameters referring to the user’s operating system, etc.).
These data will not be used to identify any individual user; however, they could, through processing and associations with third parties’ data, lead to users’ identification.
These data are only used for statistical purposes, or to check the correct functioning of the site; they are cancelled after processing, but may be used to assess responsibilities in case of possible crimes against the web site.
When e-mails are voluntarily sent to one of the addresses indicated on this web site, the sender’s address, as well as any other personal information contained in the e-mail, are automatically stored and processed.
If some information is not provided (for example on subscriptions forms, etc.), the service requested may not be obtained.
Cookies are not used on this web site to process personal information, nor is it any persistent cookie for users’ identification. The use of the so-called session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user’s computer and disappear by closing the browser window) is restricted to the transmission of session IDs (a series of random numbers generated by the server), which are necessary to guarantee a safe and efficient access to the web site.
