The market is closed on the following dates:

- Monday, 5th April (Easter Monday)

- Saturday, 1st May (Labour Day)

- Wednesday, 2nd June (Italian Republic Holiday)

- Monday, 1st November (All Saints Day)

- Wednesday, 8th December (Holy Mary Day)

- Saturday, 25th December (Christmas Day)

The market is also generally closed on Saturdays, except on Saturdays from 8th May through 28th August and on Saturdays, 30th October, 11th and 18th December

- Thursday, 7th January early opening at 2:30 a.m.

- Thursday, 3rd June early opening at 2:30 a.m.

- Tuesday, 2nd November early opening at 1:30 a.m.

- Thursday, 9th December early opening at 2:30 a.m.

On Monday, 4th October (Bologna Patron Saint Holiday) the market is open.
